What is Wellbeing?

Wellbeing refers to our sense of self and our ability to live our lives as closely as possible to the way we want to. This means that no person’s ideal state of well-being will be the same as the next.

It is unique to you.

What sort of topics do we think of with the term

‘well-being’?

  • Being part of something bigger than ourselves

  • Quality sleep

We can also consider our own topics such as

• Work/life balance

• Life enjoyment

• Personal growth and learning

• Big dreams and aspirations

The list is endless and it should only be things that matter to YOU.

If you have an idea of what the most important well-being topics are for you, it can be useful to rate each area on a scale of 1 - 10.

1 feeling the least satisfied and 10 feeling the most satisfied about each area. This helps give us an understanding of what we’d most like to improve.

Some questions to consider

  • If you could focus on one area to scale up, what do you feel would have the biggest impact on your well-being?

  • Can you see any ‘quick wins’ that could improve the quality of your everyday living?

  • Which aspect of your well-being do you find most challenging?
